1.  To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be Maryland residents who are 18 years of age or older and reside in the WBFF viewing area.Nominees must be Maryland residents who are a father, 18 years of age or older, and reside in the WBFF viewing area.

2.  Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Communications, LLC, and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station WBFF (the “Station”), WNUV, Chesapeake Beach Resort, Cagles Billiards, Toby’s Dinner Theatre, Douglas Group, Inc. dba UPICKEM their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible.  The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Only one winner per household if more than one winner per contest. To be eligible, you can not have won any contest on WBFF or WNUV in the past 30 days from the end date of this promotion.

(a)  No purchase is necessary to enter.  Only one entry per household.

(b)  To enter, log onto www.foxbaltimore.com, complete the online entry form with your name, address, email, phone, name and phone number of nominee,  and describe in 100 words or less why your father or a dad you know is "Baltimore's Best Dad".  Alternatively, entrants may also download the official entry form, fill it out, and send it along with your name, address, phone number, and birth date, and mail it to "Baltimore's Best Dad", 2000 W. 41st Street, Baltimore, MD, 21211.  No mechanically reproduced or completed entries will be accepted.  By entering, entrants represent and warrant that the entry is their original work and does not violate the rights of any third parties.

(c)  The contest starts on Monday, June 4, 2012 and all entries must be received by Station by 4:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, June 8, 2012. Station is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries/mail, or for printing errors, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.

(d)  Each entry will be judged by a panel of two judges based on 50% content, and 50% creativity.  On Friday June 8, 2012, the judges will select four (4) qualifier(s) based on the criterion set forth above.  The entrants/nominees with the top four scores will be declared finalists.  In the event of a tie, the nominee submitted by the entrant with a higher score on the content criterion will be deemed the finalist.  Finalists will be notified by phone by 5:00 p.m. on June 8, 2012.  If a finalist cannot be contacted by Sunday, June 10, 2012, then another finalist with the next highest score will be selected.   Each finalist’s entry will be read on-air on Fox 45 Morning News between Monday, June 11, 2012 and Thursday, June 14, 2012.  Between 6:00am and 9:00am on Friday, June 15, 2012, each finalist nominee will be required to be present at the Cagles Billiard for a live appearance and nine ball pool tournament to air on Fox 45 Morning News.  If any finalist nominee does not appear in person at Cagles Billiard for the pool tournament, then such finalist will be disqualified.   Each finalist nominee will participate in a “9 ball tournament”.  The winners of the first round of the nine ball tournament will play each other in the second round of the nine ball tournament.  The winner who wins the second round of the nine ball tournament will be  declared the winner, as determined by the Station’s judge.   The remaining 3 finalist nominees will be declared second place winners. Entrants acknowledge that any prizes will be awarded to the nominee father, not the entrant.

(e)  All entries received that are duplicate, mutilated, tampered with, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void.  All entries (including essays) become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.

1.   One (1) grand prize winner will be selected.  The grand prize winner will receive two  (2) nights hotel accommodations, one room, double occupancy (King with balcony) at  the Chesapeake Beach Resort, $100 gift certificate to Rod N’ Reel Restaurant, (4) four tickets to Miss Chesapeake, (4) four tickets to Toby’s Dinner Theatre, and a Ravens pool table from Cagles Billiards, valued at $3,000 (delivery not included).  The total value of the grand prize is $3,000  The Chesapeake Beach Resort portion of the prize is subject to reservation, availability, and must be used by _____.  The grand prize does not include transportation, meals, or any other expenses.   Each of the three second place winners will receive a $50 Visa gift card.  The Visa gift card is subject to the terms and conditions of Visa.

2.  Finalists will be notified by phone by 5pm on Sunday, June 10, 2012.   Winners will be notified in person.  Winners  must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within 14 days of notification, at the time winner(s) claim his prize in person at the Station.  Winners must show picture identification to claim prizes.  Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.

3.  If finalist cannot be notified within 2 days, then an alternate finalist will be selected with the next highest score.  If the winner  does not timely sign and return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited.  Finalists who cannot, for any reason, participate in the live show on Friday, June 13, 2012, will be disqualified and another finalist with the next highest score will be selected.  Failure to collect the prize within 14 days will constitute forfeiture of the prize.  If forfeited, the prize will remain the property of Station.  Another winner will not be selected.

4.  There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station.  The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value.  No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.

5.  The winners are responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules.

6.  Only one prize will be awarded per household.  Contestants are eligible to win only one prize within any 30 day period, regardless of the number of contests entered.

7.  Sinclair Communications, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize. 

8.  Sinclair Communications, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.

9.  In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Sinclair Communications, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.

2.  For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to WBFF, 2000 W. 41^st Street, Baltimore, MD  21211 by July 17, 2012.

4.  This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.  Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. Sinclair Communications, LLC, Chesapeake Beach Resort, Toby’s Dinner Theatre, and Cagles Billiards, accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.

5.  Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information.

6.  Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
