BALTIMORE'S BEST MOM is Lillian Huber!

Her sister writes, “When she was only 20 years old, she took legal custody of four of her siblings, including myself when my father passed away. She at the time had two kids of her own, was working and going to school to become a nurse. Now, at age 29 she still takes care of me and her three children. She works day in and day out to care for her family. She always puts us kids first, even me. She even postponed her dream of being a nurse so she could continue to work to support her family. She has the most loving, caring, and supportive personality of any mother I know and she deserves a break because she has not had one in almost 10 years, since my father died.”

Catherine Day is a single parent raising 4 foster care children as well as 2 biological.

Her daughter writes, "There are a lot of good moms in this world, but God has blessed me with the best...We struggle more then we expect but no matter what we were taught not to worry. My mom doesn’t have...money that grows on trees and she never has time to be alone. She does nothing for herself but does so much for everyone else. When there are foster care children in need, my mom kindly accepts them into our home...I get tired of watching her struggle to aid others. I really want her to enjoy her life as well."

Renee Marshall is a Baltimore mom who has dedicated her life to her children.

Her daughter writes, “My mom is the Best Baltimore Mom because she's real. She is a true, honest woman…My mom showed us how to struggle with nothing and make it into everything. To be polite, respectful, honest, intelligent…To control our anger, to help others in need. She would show us her wrongs, but still let us make our own mistakes. She gave each of her children the mom they need! The sensitive shy one to be strong and honest, the outgoing and athletic one to be humble and respectful, the artistic baby girl to be independent and smart. She dedicated every second of her life!!”

Dr. Verlyn Warrington has committed her entire life to helping others, spending over 20 years working as a doctor in Baltimore City and University of Maryland campuses.

Her daughter writes, "It is amazing to watch her transform people's lives; each of her patients admire and adore her. My mother never hesitates to take in family or friends who are in need of medical assistance or who are just down on their luck. She is always sacrificing time and money to help others, without stopping to think of herself. It is a blessing to have grown up under the guidance of such a compassionate, selfless person. I can only hope that one day I will have touched half as many lives as she has."
